Busitema University head coach Ronald Lumala and his compatriot Medhi Nyanzi of Bugema University, were both left with settled hearts after a barren stalemate between their respective sides.

The sides drew 0-0 in the Pepsi University Football League game played at Rock View Stadium in Busitema on Sunday.

“It was a fair game and we pushed so hard for a goal in the entire 90 minutes but it could not come,” Lumala spoke to the press after the game.

“We have picked a point against the strongest team in the group and I believe it is a vital one which we shall build on hoping to qualify for the next stage,” he added.

On the other hand, Bugema’s Nyanzi noted that his side was a bit fatigued hence being okay with the point earned against Busitema.

“My players had heavy legs due to fatigue and the sun was as well too much but it is good that we have managed to earn a point.”

“Our main focus remains on topping this group and we are now looking forward to our next game,” Nyanzi noted.

After two games in Group F, Bugema leads the way with four points, Islamic University In Uganda follows in second place, with three points while Busitema is bottom with a single point.

Group F has three teams, implying only the table leader will progress to the next stage of the competition.
