Uganda Premier League table leaders BUL FC were twin winners at the Pilsner Monthly Awards for October 2022, in the event held at Kati Kati Restaurant on Wednesday.
The Oil Manufacturers had forward Richard Wandyaka named the Player of the Month and tactician, Alex Isabirye crowned Coach of the Month.
The Jinja-based side played five games in October; winning thrice 5-0, 3-1, and 1-0 against Blacks Power FC, UPDF FC, and SC Villa respectively, in a dominant month.
They stayed unbeaten, managing stalemates in the two other games which ended 1-1 against each of URA FC and Gaddafi FC.
Meanwhile, Wandyaka scored four goals and was twice on the assists list in a month to remember.
He is currently the joint top-scorer along with teammate Karim Ndugwa and Express FC’s Allan Kayiwa.
To win the award and the UGShs 1, 000, 000 cash prize, Wandyaka beat stiff competition from Ndugwa and Maroons FC’s star Fred Amaku, who were just as impressive.
Isabirye on the other hand fended off opposition from SC Villa’s Jackson Magera and Maroons’ Muhammad Ssenfuka, for the crown and a UGShs 1, 000, 000 cash prize.
