While the announcement has clarified the start and end dates, CAF has yet to disclose the specific venues for the opening match or the final match of the competition.

The rescheduling of the tournament comes after CAF decided to delay the event due to host nations’ unpreparedness.

The continental body cited the necessity of additional time to ensure all facilities meet the required standards for a successful tournament.

This move was made in the interest of maintaining the competition’s high quality and ensuring that the host countries can deliver a memorable experience for players and fans alike.

While the new dates offer clarity on when the tournament will take place, some uncertainties remain.

Notably, two qualification slots for the tournament are still unresolved, with CAF yet to announce dates for the remaining qualifying matches.

These unresolved spots add an element of anticipation to the competition as teams across the continent vie for the final places in the prestigious event.

Despite these challenges, the CHAN 2024 draw took place as scheduled on Wednesday, January 15, in Nairobi.

Uganda was placed in Pool C, where they will face Niger, Guinea, and two other teams, yet to be determined.

The draw has already set the stage for exciting matchups, and fans, are eagerly awaiting the next steps as the tournament draws nearer as different domestic players continue to work to make it.
