Islamic University In Uganda (IUIU) narrowly beat visitors Busitema University 1-0 after a tightly contested affair in the 2022 Pepsi University Football League on Thursday.
After losing their opening match to Bugema University, IUIU needed a win going into the game to keep their chances of progressing to the knockout stages alive.

Ismail Tambula‘s 38 minute goal ensured the hosts picked maximum points on the evening, and as a result, they are now second in Group F, with three points.
The outcome leaves Busitema rock-bottom without a point while Bugema remain top of the group on three points thanks to a better goal difference and a game in hand.
Action in the Pepsi University Football League will continue tomorrow on Friday as Kumi University hosts defending champions Uganda Christian University in Kumi.
