KCCA Women Volleyball Club crowned a dominant season by winning the 2026 National Volleyball League title after defeating Vision Volleyball Camp in straight sets at Old Kampala Arena.
The Kasasiro Girls sealed the championship with a 25-13, 25-22 and 25-19 victory in Game Three, completing a 3-0 sweep of the finals series against Vision Volleyball Camp.
The triumph completed a season double for KCCA, who had earlier won the National Club Championship in Gulu, confirming their place as the top women’s volleyball side in the country this year.
KCCA’s title run came after a difficult first round. Coach Edward Bwengye guided the team to a strong recovery as they lost only once in nine second-round matches before cruising into the playoffs.
They carried that form into the finals, dominating the opening set before holding off VVC in the second. KCCA stayed composed in the third set to wrap up the title in style.
The league success adds to a memorable year for the club, which also represented Uganda at the CAVB Women’s African Club Volleyball Championship in Cairo earlier this season.
VVC finished as runners-up, while KCB-Nkumba claimed third place in the final standings.
