Shilla Omuriwe is back on the touchline, returning as head coach of Uganda’s men’s national volleyball team ahead of the CAVB Zone V Nations Qualifiers.

The Uganda Volleyball Federation unveiled the technical bench this week, entrusting Omuriwe with leading Uganda’s push for regional success.

Her return brings both experience and unfinished business.

During her previous stint, Omuriwe guided Uganda to a respectable fifth place finish at the African Championship, a result that signaled the country’s growing status in continental volleyball. Now, the target is even bigger.

Known for her discipline and tactical approach, Omuriwe is expected to build a competitive side capable of challenging for honours on home soil.

She will work alongside first assistant coach Joshua Osiya and second assistant Tom Paul Amou as Uganda prepares for the zonal championship.
