KCCA FC have announced Portuguese native Sergio Daniel Moniz Tiraguil as the new manager on a two-year deal.

The foreign coach has taken over from club legend Jackson Mayanja who was in charge on an interim basis.

Tiraguil is currently a holder of a UEFA A license and he is currently pursuing a UEFA Pro License.

The holder of a Bachelor’s degree in Sports Science and Physical Education also studied Sports Psychology at Rio Major School of Sport.

He started his coaching career at Sports Lisboa e Benfica where he was in charge of the Club’s youth teams before joining Kaduna United in Nigeria.

“The club will benefit greatly from Sergio’s expensive expertise, high standards of excellence, and character,” said KCCA FC CEO Anisha Muhoozi.

“He is a successful coach who has worked at the highest level in several different leagues on the continent,” she added.

The 42-year-old has also coached at Hearts of Oak (Ghana), Singida Big Stars (Tanzania), CD Lunda Sul (Angola), and Vilankulos (Mozambique).

The list continues with, Mirbat SC (Oman), Kabuscorp SC (Angola), Santa Rita CFC (Angola), and recently Township Rollers FC (Botswana).
