Masaza Cup: Pokino urges Buddu fans to Twaake with discipline

Three times Masaza Cup winners, Buddu County will kick start this season against Kkooki at home on 02 July 2023.

Having lost 2-1 to Busiro in last edition’s final, Buddu have a chance to ignite their vibrant fans at Masaka Recreation ground.

Now in a new skin, painted by Kansai Plascon their new title sponsor, Buddu has no option but to Twaake.

Yesterday, the County leader, Pokino Jude Muleke appreciated the sponsors for engaging in Masaza Cup with Buddu Ssaza.

He also called for discipline in the trophy hunt. “To win the trophy, the team and fans have to be disciplined on and off the pitch.”

Away from Plascon the title sponsor, Pepsi Afqauina will be the refreshment partner while Lubowa Ssebina pledged some cash.

Coaching staff now public secret

In a bid to ignite their colours, Buddu will face Kkooki, Buluuli, Kyaddondo, Kyaggwe, and Buweekula in the Masengere Group.

The Pokino of Buddu, Muleke had the honour of confirming the coaching staff to lead the team this year.

Last edition’s Busiro coach Simon Mugerwa was confirmed as the new Head Coach for Buddu Ssaza.

The tactician will be assisted by Nyanzi Taddeo Bright and former Uganda Cranes forward Mike Mutyaba.

Ayuka Brian and Sam Ssekitto will work as the Fitness Coaches while Asadd Bugembe is the Goalkeeper Coach.
