Telecommunications company and Uganda Cranes sponsors, MTN have pledged 30 million shillings to the team should they beat Algeria.

Uganda Cranes will host the Desert Foxes of Algeria on 18th June at Japoma Stadium in Douala, Cameroon in an Africa Cup of Nations qualifier.

The revelation was made by the company’s boss Sen Somdev and the team during Wednesday’s training at the Muteesa II Stadium, Wankulukuku.

“Ahead of the game against Algeria, we promise a package of 30M for a win. This is to help give motivation to our players,” Somdev pledged.

In the doubleheader against Tanzania, they had pledged 2 million shillings to a potential Man of the Match winner.

KCCA FC‘s Rogers Mato scooped the cash bonanza for his heroics against the Taifa Stars at the Benjamin Mkapa Stadium.
