The move comes as Nakiyingi was enjoying a strong 2026 National Basketball League season in Uganda, where she led the league in first round assists.

Her form had once again highlighted her control, vision, and consistency as one of the country’s top playmakers.

She leaves JKL Lady Dolphins after playing a key role in their domestic success and multiple league championships, where she established herself as one of the best point guards in the Ugandan NBL.

Evelyne Nakiyingi and her teammates celebrate their 2024 NBL triumph.

At international level, Nakiyingi has been an important figure for the Uganda Gazelles, featuring in their historic 2023 FIBA Women’s AfroBasket run and returning for the 2025 edition.

Her move to Tanzania is not entirely new territory. She previously featured for Fox Divas during the 2025 FIBA Women’s Basketball League Africa qualifiers, giving her prior experience in the region before this latest switch.

The Real Dream Basketball is owned by Reel Dream led by popular Tanzanian music duo Navy Kenzo (Aika and Nahreel)
