Pak Shaheens Cricket Club sealed promotion to the Silver Group after crushing Tornado Cricket Club by 98 runs in the Bronze Group semifinal playoffs at the Florida Cricket Oval on Sunday.
The victory also set up a final against Centurion Cricket Club, with both teams already assured of promotion and now left to battle only for bragging rights.

Pak Shaheens posted 187 all out in 35.2 overs, thanks largely to a strong top order display. Yasir Malik made a brisk 40 off 38 balls before Sunil Kumar anchored the innings with an entertaining 56 off 46 deliveries, striking five fours and three sixes.

After losing wickets in quick succession, Abdul Basit Habib steadied the innings with 38 to ensure Pak Shaheens finished with a competitive total.
Tornado’s bowlers enjoyed some success, with Tomas Kochieng and Mwebaze Sulaiman claiming four wickets each, but their efforts were overshadowed by a dramatic batting collapse.
Chasing 188, Tornado never recovered from a disastrous start. Bilal Hassan and Akbar Ahmad ripped through the top order, reducing them to 17 for three inside five overs.
Only Ochaya Amir showed resistance with 31, while Tomas added 15. The rest of the batting line-up failed to cope with Pak Shaheens’ disciplined attack.
Bilal and captain Raheel Sarwar picked up three wickets apiece, while Abrar Ul Haq took two as Tornado were bowled out for just 89 in 22.5 overs.
With promotion secured, Pak Shaheens now turn their attention to the final against Centurion, where the two newly promoted sides will fight for the Bronze Group playoff crown.
