Barely a month after helping Kitara Football Club secure promotion to the Uganda Premier League, head coach Sam Ssimbwa is set for the exit.

According to sources close to the outspoken tactician, he won’t renew his contract after the current one ends on June 30.

Reports claim the versed coach and Kitara have failed to reach a leveled ground, with his terms allegedly too high for the club to handle.

Ssimbwa, who joined the Hoima-based outfit early this year, had signed a short-term contract, with the task of winning the FUFA Big League and ultimately securing promotion, and he delivered.

He beat runners-up, Mbarara City FC to the title, having garnered 61 points to the latter’s 60.

The reports of Ssimbwa’s exit have been fueled further by Kitara’s links to Gaddafi FC coach Wasswa Bbosa and St Mary’s Secondary School‘s Edward Golola.

Ssimbwa has previously held the head coach role at each of Tooro United, KCCA FC, Express FC, URA FC, and more.
