The Uganda Netball national team, the She Cranes head coach Fred Mugerwa is confident his side will bounce back from defeat and win the test series against Wales.

Uganda lost the first game yesterday night 57-45 in a physical contest which left Coach Mugerwa not impressed with some of the calls from the officials.

“We are still the favourites and we are going to dominate the next two games. Certain calls were not satisfactory and demoralized the girls, some fouls were being manufactured by the umpires.”

Ranked fifth in the world, Uganda will be back at the House of Sports in Cardiff to face the 7th-ranked Wales again on Friday hoping to win and take the series to a decider on Saturday.

However, for Uganda to overturn the series, they have to work on their defense and improve their attack as well as since they failed to win any quarter of the game.

Wales won the first quarter 14 to 12, and netted 13 goals against 11 in the second. In the second half, the Welsh Feathers won both quarters scoring 30 and allowing in only 22 from a side that traveled late due to Visa issues.

After mission Wales, the She Cranes will shift focus to big guns England, New Zealand, and Australia for the Vitality Netball Nations Cup between January 20 and 22.
