Uganda’s She Cranes have continued their march at the 2026 Commonwealth Games with a resounding 80-36 victory over Trinidad and Tobago at the Hydro in Glasgow on Sunday. This result follows the 59-50 victory over Wales in the team’s first game.

For the Trinidad and Tobago game, coach Rashid Mubiru started Lilian Achola, Gloria Ayaa, Mercy Batamuliza, Mary Cholhok, Mutesi Nasiimu, Shaffie Nalwanja and Rachel Nanyonga.

Ranked sixth in the world, the She Cranes return to action later this evening against the world number four Jamaica in what is expected to be the real challenge so far.

“Yes, it’s never easy against teams like Jamaica, but we have watched them play and strongly believe we shall do our best to get a victory,” said goal shooter Mary Cholhok.

After Jamaica, Uganda will play other group B opponents New Zealand and Scotland.
