Tanzanian giants Simba Queens are set to unveil Ugandan midfielder Riticia Nabbosa from Fountain Gate Princess FC.
Nabbosa, who joined Fountain Gate Princess FC at the start of the year from Lady Doves of Uganda, has been a standout performer for her new club.
She scored on her debut against Simba Queens in the Serengeti Lite Women’s premier League and was voted the club’s best midfielder of the season.
The former Lady Doves midfielder will become the second Ugandan player to join Simba Queens in the ongoing transfer window, after the signing of striker Joanita Ainembabazi.
Nabbosa is a talented midfielder with a wealth of experience. She has won the FUFA Women Super League with Lady Doves and was named in the best team of the 2020/21 season.
She was also the MVP when her team Olila Women Football Club won the maiden FUFA Women’s Cup in 2017.
In 2021, Nabbosa became the first ever player to score the first goal in the CAF Women’s Champions League Zonal Qualifiers. She scored against FAD FC and Lady Doves finished third in the first edition of the tournament.
The flamboyant talent has featured for the Crested Cranes in different big tournaments and in the 2021 COSAFA tournament, she was voted player of the match when Uganda defeated Eswatini 5-1.
The arrival of Nabbosa is a major coup for Simba Queens. She is a talented midfielder with a proven track record of success.
She is sure to add a lot to the team and help them challenge for trophies in the coming season.
