Historical National Basketball League powerhouse, Falcons are likely to be the first side to be relegated after suffering a 122-74 loss to City Oilers on Sunday, at Lugogo.
The six time champions, who are winless in the current top tier campaign with an absolutely abysmal record (0-18), are on the verge of being among the three sides to be shown the axe.
Mathematically, despite having six more games to play, it will be a miracle for them not to trade in the lower league next season
Their only but rather extremely unlikely chance of survival hinges around a team or two forfeiting some games.
On the evening, City Oilers Ceasar Kizito impressed with 30 points, Azolibe added 20, Ivan Muhwezi scored 19 while Luak Ruai drilled in 17.
John Dombo and Jimmy Enabu had 12 and 10 respectively, while Emmanuel Okumu (6) and Ben Komakech (8) were the only two players to miss scoring in double figures for the Oilers.
As for the Falcons, Vinnie Jurua had 20 points but the side careless with the basketball were let down by a huge 29 turnovers.
Falcons won the championship in 1998, 1999, 2002, 2003, 2004 and the last one going to their trophy cabinet bring in 2007.
