Tactician Simon ‘Dunga’ Ddungu will stay put as Ssingo Head Coach for the forthcoming Buganda Masaza Cup tournament.
The county’s management confirmed that he is still the right man for the job having guided them to the Semifinals last season before they were eliminated by eventual winners Busiro 4-3 on aggregate.
In his previous Masaza expeditions, Ddungu was in the role at Gomba, Mawogola, and Busiro before Ssingo last season.
He is a Masaza Cup winner with Gomba following their 1-0 triumph over Ssingo during the 2017 edition.
Ddungu is also the head coach at Buganda Region Kiyinda Boys, a side he guided to the promotional final. They will face Young Simba FC with the winner taking on the champions of the Kampala Region for a place in the Big League.
Meanwhile, Emmy Immanuel Kisakye and Regan Lule have also been retained as the assistant and goalkeeping coach, respectively.
Ssingo last won the Masaza Cup in 2018 and are in the Bulange Group alongside Bulemeezi, Butambala, Buvuma Bugerere, and Busujju.
