  • KCCA FC Vs Kitara FC โ€“ Phillip Omondi Stadium, Lugogo | 8 pm

โ€œWe didnโ€™t score against Vipers and that is an area we have tried to address in training.โ€ Kitara Football Club Assistant Coach Wasswa Bbosa started

โ€œThe target is to win and stay close to the leaders. That shows how important this game is.โ€

Bbosa didnโ€™t dress it up. Kitara must improve in front of goal and quickly, if they are to stay in the title race.

His side visits KCCA on Friday at the Phillip Omondi Stadium, Lugogo, in a clash that could shape the top of the Uganda Premier League table. KCCA are third, seven points off the top, but a win would cut that gap to four.

Recent results have made this a must-win. The Kasasiro Boys have stumbled in their last two matches in all competitions, including a defeat to SC Villa.

Across the pitch, Vipers arrive after a 1-1 draw with Villa, a result that kept them in the race but left little room for another slip.

There is added spice in the dugout and dressing rooms. Brian Ssenyondo faces his former employers, while several players are set to meet old teammates.

Rogers Mugisha, Lazaro Bwambale and Umar Lutalo could line up against KCCA, while Emmanuel Wasswa, Kato Samuel Nemeyimana and Muhammad Shaban are all available for the visitors.

On the UPL table, Kitara lay second with 47 points, five off leaders Vipers SC while KCCA sit 4th with 45.
