It was a show of character, guile and resilience as Uganda Christian University came from a goal down to win 4-1 and sink International University of East Africa in the Pepsi University Football League.
The Friday result in Mukono left UCU head coach Mwera Kintu in utter delight as it was not only a victory, but one with a high scoring margin.
The 4-1 win was the biggest the Mukono side has managed in this ongoing edition, much to Kintu’s joy.

“We wanted to win today but differently, because we needed goals. In our previous games, we did not score enough despite always creating many chances,” Kintu said after the game before adding.

“I am impressed by the fact that the goals have increased and that is how we should play all the remaining games. We are not yet through but our chances have increased,” he added.
UCU took its points tally to 10 from four games and they top Group A followed by Kumi University who are on seven points.
Victoria University occupies third place with three points while IUEA is placed at the bottom without a single point.
