UCU Doves‘ skipper Gideon Angiro has completed a move to Rwandan powerhouse APR Volleyball Club.
Angiro, who plays as a receiver-attacker has joined on a short-term three-month deal.
The developments were confirmed by the Uganda Volleyball Federation through their social media platforms.
Angiro, helped the Doves reach this year’s National Volleyball League finals before they eventually lost to Sport-S.
He is the latest Ugandan player to trade their game in the Sports-passionate neighbouring country.
The other players to play there include Kathbart Malinga, Daudi Okello, and Savior Atama among others.
Angiro has previously featured for Nemostars and KCCA in Uganda but also played professional volleyball in Albania before returning to join the Doves.
The 23-year-old played for the Volleyball Cranes at the CAVB African Nations Championship hosted in Kigali, Rwanda, in 2021.
