Ugandan Striker Sharon Nadunga Joins Lindsey Wilson College in America

Sharon Nadunga, a striker for the Uganda national women’s football team, the Crested Cranes, has joined Lindsey Wilson College in Kentucky, USA.

Nadunga spent the 2022/23 season with UCU Lady Cardinals in the FUFA Women Super League. She is also a former player of Kawempe Muslim Ladies FC.

Nadunga was part of the Crested Cranes squad that competed in the 2021 COSAFA in South Africa.

Lindsey Wilson College is a private Christian college with a strong athletic program.

The Blue Raiders women’s soccer team has won the NAIA National Championship in 2020.

Nadunga is a clinical finisher with a powerful shot. She is also known for her intelligence and quick thinking on the ball and will be a valuable addition to the Blue Raiders squad.

The forward is the latest Ugandan footballer to sign for a college in the United States.

In recent years, several Ugandan players have moved to the US to further their careers, including Yudaya Nakayenze and Tracy Jones Akiror, who both played for Lindsey Wilson College.
