Express FC Head Coach James Odoch has warned his side against a stubborn Maroons FC when the two meet at Luzira Playgrounds today.

The Red Eagles have gone five successive matches without victory having registered four defeats and a draw.

“Maroons is a stubborn team especially when they are playing from home but we also want to return to winning ways,” said Odoch to the team media on Thursday.

“The players are motivated having registered a point against the defending champions Vipers and we are going to build on that,” he added.

Odoch also confirmed the team will miss a few starters, but assured the available players for selection will put in the necessary shift.

“We shall miss a number of players due to illness and suspension. Denis Otim and Andrew Kaggwa are suspended while Joseph Akandwanaho and Farouk Katongole have malaria, so they will not be available.”

“However, the rest of the available players trained very well and are ready for the game which I believe will not be an easy game.”

Last time out, Express drew goalless with Vipers SC at Wankulukuku on Tuesday, yet Maroons also drew with Onduparaka FC 2-2 in Arua.

In the previous meetings between the two, Express won 1-0 in the second leg in Luzira, while the first leg at Wankulukuku ended 2-2.
