  • Police FC 2-1 URA FC

Bedia Djuma Ikamba ended a seven-game goal drought in style, striking the winner as Police FC came from behind to beat URA FC 2-1 at Police Arena, Kamwokya on Tuesday.

Ikamba had last scored in the 2-1 win over Lugazi FC, but had since gone seven matches without a goal.

His decisive strike against URA lifted his tally to eight goals this season.

URA made a dream start. Just two minutes in, Joshua Lubwama headed in Disan Galiwango’s corner to silence the home crowd.

Police responded in the 15th minute. Lawrence Tezikya capitalised on URA’s failure to clear their lines, finishing neatly to level the score.

URA were handed a big chance in the 32nd minute after Samuel Kayongo fouled Isma Mugulusi in the box.

Moses Aliro stepped up, but goalkeeper Edward Kasibante produced a superb double save to keep Police in the game.

The breakthrough came in the 70th minute. Saidi Kyeyune picked out Ikamba, who reacted quickly and finished clinically to give Police the lead and end his drought.

URA almost replied immediately, but Kasibante was again alert, denying Bruno Bunyaga two minutes later with a fine save.

Police held on calmly to secure all three points.

The win moves Police to fifth place with 41 points. URA remain 11th on 23 points after 24 games.

Police next face Maroons in Luzira on Saturday, April 25, while URA visit UPDF a day earlier.

Elsewhere, Vipers stayed top with a 2-0 win over Buhimba United Saints, KCCA beat UPPC 1-0 in Entebbe, UPDF thrashed BUL 5-2 for their first win of 2026.

Express were set to host NEC at Nakivubo in the evening.
