  • Calvary FC 1-0 KCCA FC

Lawrence Olaboro scored and delivered belief when it mattered most. Under the unforgiving Yumbe sun, his composed second half finish lifted Calvary FC to a stunning 1-0 victory over KCCA FC, a result that could reshape both ends of the Uganda Premier League table.

For a side rooted at the bottom, this was about courage. Olaboro provided it on the hour mark, latching onto his chance and finishing calmly to ignite celebrations among the home fans.

It was a simple moment, but one that carried enormous weight.

KCCA controlled possession for long spells but lacked sharpness in front of goal.

When they did threaten, goalkeeper Shukuru stood firm, making key saves to keep Calvary level before the break and protected after it.

The visitors were weakened, missing several key players, but still pushed hard for an equaliser. Calvary, however, stayed organised and disciplined, refusing to give away their lead.

At full time, history was made. It was Calvary’s first win over KCCA earned through resilience and one decisive touch from Olaboro.

The defeat leaves KCCA second on 51 points, behind Vipers SC, who have a game in hand and a chance to tighten their grip on the title race.

For Calvary, the victory extends their unbeaten run to four matches and moves them within four points of safety.

Survival still demands more, but with Olaboro leading moments like this, belief has returned.

Elsewhere, Kitara FC beat Lugazi 2-1, while Maroons FC defeated Police 3-1.
