Uganda Premier League side URA FC has confirmed the signing of forward Bruno Bunyaga from Western Regional League side Bushenyi Veterans FC.
He comes in to replace Uganda Cranes forward Derrick Nsibambi, who earlier in the window, departed to Oman.
“The wait is over, Bunyaga Bruno Junior is a Tax Collector,” confirmed the club via their Social media pages.
The Youngster has signed a two-year contract that will see him at the club till 2025.
Bunyaga made his name in the Buganda Masaza Cup, having won the title with Buddu and was the topscorer in the 2022 Pepsi University Football League.
He becomes the Tax Collectors’ second January signing after midfielder Joshua Lubwama joined from Wakiso Giants FC.
Bunyaga will face competition from the likes of George Ssenkaba, Ibrahim Dada, Viane Ssekajugo, and Kabon Living for a place in the team.
Sam Timbe‘s side had a poor first round that saw them 11th on the log with 14 points after 14 matches, and they will hope to bounce back in the second round.
Their first game in the second round will be away to Onduparaka on 11th February at the Ababet Greenlight Stadium.
