Two Wakiso Giants FC forwards, Moses Aliro and Sharif Kimbowa, are on the verge of joining Tanzanian giants Young Africans SC.

The pair are currently training with Yanga as they get assessed for possible moves.

Kimbowa and Aliro both traveled with Yanga to Malawi ahead of a bout with Nyasa Big Bullets, which will be part of the country’s 59th Independence celebrations slated for Thursday.

It is alleged that Aliro’s contract with Wakiso Giants expired at the end of June, and thus the forward is free and eligible to join Yanga, as he is unattached.

The versatile attacker came through the ranks of the KCCA FC Junior team, to the senior side before joining the Purple Sharks in 2021/22 season.

With the latter for the past two campaigns, Aliro has played 52 league games, netting 12 times.

On the other hand, Kimbowa was a revelation for Wakiso last season, managing nine goals in 24 league appearances.

Across the two seasons at the Kabaka Kyabaggu Stadium, he played 46 times. He has previously featured for Busoga United, a side he played for two seasons (2019/20 and 2020/21).

The addition of Aliro and Kimbowa would be a major boost for Yanga, who are looking to build on their recent success in the lague and in the CAF Confederation Cup.

The two forwards are both young and talented, and they would add a lot of firepower to Yanga’s attack.
