Uganda national rugby 7s side lost their opening game 33-7 to a stronger side in Samoa despite putting in a good shift.

Captain Michael Wokorach scored the first try of the game, thanks to a high press from Adrian Kasito and good composure by Aaron Ofoyrwoth.

France based star Phillip Wokorach added the extras before Samoa owned the scoreboard till the last play.

They crossed the try line five times as the Rugby Cranes 7s had their scoring chance from Michael Wokorach ruled out after a review as he grounded before reaching the scoring area.

The game had players giving in their best and fans from the Pearl of Africa bossing the stands as they waved the flags.

Next in the Cranes path is South Korea tomorrow at 9:59 AM in the bowl quarterfinals inside the hosting city, Cape Town in South Africa
