The Federation of Uganda Football Associations (FUFA) has released the fixtures for the 2023 FUFA Super 8 tournament, which returns after almost four years.
The competition will kick off on Monday, August 7, with two matches:
- SC Villa vs Maroons at Mutesa II stadium, Wankulukuku (4pm, live on FUFA TV)
- BUL FC vs Vipers SC at FUFA Technical Centre, Njeru (4pm, live on FUFA TV)
On Tuesday, August 8, the following matches will be played:
- Wakiso Giants vs KCCA at MTN Omondi stadium, Lugogo (4pm, live on FUFA TV)
- URA vs Arua Hill at Mehta Grounds, Lugazi (4pm, live on FUFA TV)
The semi-finals will be played on Thursday, August 11, and Friday, August 12.
The final and other classification match dates and venues will be communicated in due course.
About the FUFA Super 8 Tournament
The FUFA Super 8 Tournament is a pre-season tournament for the top eight teams in the Uganda Premier League.
It was first held in 2018, and KCCA FC won the inaugural tournament. Vipers SC won the tournament in 2019.
The tournament is sponsored by telecommunication giants MTN Uganda and Nile Special, a brand of Nile Breweries Limited.
