Now former Arua Hill SC player Alfred Leku has been confirmed as a new signing for Zambian giants, Zesco United.
The 2021/22 top scorer for the Kongolo (11 goals) has penned down a one year employment contract, to run until 2023.
Leku’s absolutely scintillating displays guided the West Nile powerhouse to an impressive fifth-place finish with 52 points in the 2021/22 season, in what was their first ever taste of top flight football.
The big striker has been brought in as a replacement for the veteran striker Winston Kalengo, who left at the end of the preceding campaign.
Zesco finished second on the 18-team Zambian Premier League log with 63 points, seven adrift of champions Red Arrows who gathered 70 points.
The latest development means the former Express FC star striker will feature in the CAF Confederation Cup.
