Despite trailing 4-0 to Vipers SC, all hope is not lost for Soltilo Bright Stars‘ head coach Asaph Mwebaze, ahead of their second leg game.
The 2019 finalists were thrashed by the two-time winners at the St Mary’s Stadium, Kitende over a week ago.
Bright Anukani shined the brightest (read Twaake) with a brace while Milton Karisa and Yunus Sentamu also scored one apiece.
But, Mwebaze who is very much aware that the task is extremely difficult, feels his team can still pull off a strong result today at Kavumba Recreation Grounds.
“It’s a big task for us, but it’s a possibility because we have 90 minutes to play,” he said to the media on Monday.
“You never know what happens. We have to go with a positive mind and see what we can do in the game,” he added.
That said, the Venoms, on the other hand, are also aiming at making the third Cup final in as many years.
They have won and lost one apiece in the past two campaigns they have faced the same opponent, Jinja city side, Bul FC.
The winner after two legs will meet Police FC, who eliminated Adjumani TC on away goals rule advantage, after a 2-2 draw.
The Kansai Plascon painted final is set for the Akii-Bua Memorial Stadium, in Lira, Northern Uganda.
