Vipers SC assistant captain Siraje Ssentamu hit 200 appearances for the club as they beat Busoga United 5-0 to take home the 2022/23 Uganda Premier League trophy.

The colossal midfielder has accumulated the appearances over two spells with the Kitende outfit, winning four league titles.

In his first stint between 2013 to 2017, Ssentamu won his maiden league title (2014/15) and a Uganda Cup before he departed for URA FC.

He returned in 2019 and immediately got crowned UPL champion yet again, winning in the 2019/20 season.

He added the championship in the 2021/22 season under head coach Roberto Oliviera, before repeating the feat this season under Alex Isabirye‘s charge.

Under Oliviera, he also won the Uganda Cup in 2021 after trumping BUL FC 8-1 in the final at the FUFA Technical Center, Njeru.

Sentamu goes in hard on former Police and Uganda Cranes legend, Tonny Mawejje.

The midfielder is in a strong position to clinch his third Uganda Cup as they’re currently on the verge of storming the final.

They thrashed Soltilo Bright Stars 4-0 in the first leg semi-final, a week ago and will meet Police FC in the final, should they get through.

Ssentamu is a product of the prestigious St Mary’s Secondary School Kitende, which is the feeder side for Vipers SC.
