BUL FC is on the hunt for a new home ground ahead of the second round of the Uganda Premier League (UPL) season, as they announce their decision to part ways with Lugazi Stadium in Najjembe.
This decision comes after a series of disappointing results at the venue during the first round, where the team managed just one victory, four draws, and two losses.
The team’s only win at the stadium came against Bright Stars, and with the desire to turn things around for the second half of the season, the club is looking to make a fresh start.

In an official statement shared via their X (formerly Twitter) page, BUL FC confirmed that they will no longer play their home games at Lugazi Stadium, a venue that has previously been their base.
The club expressed their intention to explore alternative venues in either Njeru or Jinja and assured fans that they would be kept updated on the final decision.
“We are currently exploring alternative venues in Jinja or Njeru, and we will keep you updated on our new home ground for the second round,” the club said in their statement.
While the move comes in response to a less-than-ideal record at Lugazi, it also highlights BUL FC’s commitment to improving their performance as they aim to finish the season on a high note.
Fans are eagerly awaiting the announcement of the club’s new base, with both Jinja and Njeru being viable options for the team.
These areas are home to strong footballing communities and could offer BUL FC a fresh atmosphere to build on their potential.
The club also expressed gratitude for their supporters’ understanding and patience during this transition.
“We appreciate your understanding and patience as we work to secure a new venue,” the statement concluded.
As the UPL second round approaches, BUL FC will be hoping that a venue change will spark the team into better form, as they look to improve on their early season results and climb higher in the league standings where BUL sit in 9th with 20 points.
With a fresh start and new ground on the horizon, BUL FC will be hoping to turn the page and write a better chapter in their second-half season.
