CAVB Men’s African Club Championship | Group A | Saturday April 25
- APR VC 3-0 Nemostars
- [25-20, 25-23, 27-25]
Nemostars’ unbeaten run at the 2026 CAVB Men’s African Club Championship ended on Saturday after a straigh sets loss to hosts APR VC at BK Arena.

The Ugandan champions fell 3-0 (25-20, 25-23, 27-25) in a tightly contested Group A clash, with APR feeding off a lively home crowd to maintain their perfect start.
Both teams came in with two wins, but APR looked sharper from the start. They took the opening set 25-20, using strong serving and quick attacks to keep Nemostars on the back foot.

Nemostars settled in the second set and matched the hosts point for point. But just when it mattered, APR edged ahead to win 25-23 and move within a set of victory.
The third set was the closest. Nemostars showed fight, pushing the game beyond 25 points, but APR held firm to take it 27-25 and seal the win.
APR now lead Group A with three wins from three, having also beaten Black Rhinos and Litto Team in straight sets.
Despite the loss, Nemostars remain well placed. Earlier wins over Petrojet SC of Egypt and Nigeria Customs keep them in contention for the knockout stage.
They next face Zimbabwe’s Black Rhinos on Sunday April 26, where they will look to bounce back quickly.
