Edward Ssozi Kasozi, the former Uganda Martyrs Lubaga Women Football Club head coach, is set to join the newly established Shammah Queens Mityana FC.
The CAF C coach, is in advanced stages of joining Shammah Queens Mityana FC as the head coach.
It should be noted that former Uganda Martyrs Lubaga Women Football Club CEO Ivor Ssempa Kimbugwe joined Shammah Queens Mityana FC on Tuesday 25th July 2023 as their new CEO.
Kimbugwe is most probably influencing the deal to happen soon and will likely walk with more staff members he worked with at Uganda Martyrs Lubaga WFC.
Coach Edward Ssozi Kasozi joined Uganda Martyrs towards the end of the 2021/22 FUFA Women Super League as an interim head coach.
He won his first game when Uganda Martyrs Lubaga defeated Tooro Queens 2-1 thanks to Anita Namata and Catherine Nagadya‘s goals.
At the start of 2022/23 season, Kasozi was appointed Uganda Martyrs Lubaga head coach on a permanent basis, and went on to help the team finish third in the league and also lift their firstĀ ever title, the FUFA Women’s Cup.
Its believed that Kasozi will be earning a fair salary that will be twice what he was receiving at Uganda Martyrs Lubaga WFC.
Shammah Queens Mityana FC will compete in the 2023/24 FUFA Women Regional League in the Buganda region.
