Seven-time Uganda Premier League Champions, Express FC have signed defender Hamim Semakula, making him their fourth signing in the ongoing transfer window.

The 29 year old joins the Wankulukuku outfit from FUFA Big League side Ndejje University on a three-year deal.

“I am happy to join one of the biggest clubs in the country and I hope to help it achieve its goals during my time with it,” Semakula told the club media.

Besides Ndejje, the left-back has previously featured for Kiboga Young FC, Simba SC, Saints FC and Mbarara City FC – a clear show of purposeful experience.

“Hamim Semakula is a very good player with a lot of experience which will be important in our predominantly young squad,” said Express head coach James Odoch.

He joins Joseph Dhata, Marvin Oshaba, Kada Bitakazibwa and Benjamin Gakumba, who made it to the ‘Mukwano Gwabangi’ books earlier.
