Jinja North United FC are in advanced talks to sign striker Brian Mayanja Mululi, who is currently in the camp with the club.
The energetic striker is expected to sign a two-year employment contract.
Muluuli did not play the second round of the 2022/23 season after his club Mtibwa Sugar in Tanzania denied him a release to join Mbarara City.
Last season, Jinja North United FC finished 10th in the FUFA Big League, but they are now focused on gaining Startimes Uganda Premier League promotion in the 2023/24 season.
Mayanja has a wealth of experience in the Ugandan top flight, having previously played for BUL FC, Soana FC, Nyamityobora FC, Kitara FC, and Police FC.
He is known for his robust energy levels, good use of the ball, and shooting abilities from all ranges.
In October 2020, Mayanja scored the lone goal for Kitara FC against Kiboga Young in the promotional final of the FUFA Big League.
He also scooped the Pilsner Uganda Premier League player of the month award in February 2021 after scoring five league goals in one month while playing for Police FC.
The addition of Mayanja would be a major boost for Jinja North United FC as they look to achieve promotion to the top flight next season.
