KCCA unveils Uganda Hippos’ Wabyoona

KCCA FC have on Thursday completed the signing of Faisal Wabyoona making him their second acquisition in the ongoing transfer window after Moses Waiswa.

The 19 year old was quick to express his desire to make his presence loud at the 13 times league winners immediately after penning a long-term five year employment contract.

The versatile midfielder, who can play both in the central defensive and attacking positions will face stiff competition from the likes of Ashraf Mugume, Moses Waiswa, and Gift Ali among others.

“I feel very happy to sign for KCCA FC. This is a very big club and I am aware of the task at hand but I am ready for the competition,” said Wabyoona.

ON HIS RELATIONSHIP WITH THE KCCA GAFFER

“I have worked with the Manager, Morley Byekwaso at the U20 National Team and this was an easy decision for me to make.”

Wabyoona played for the Uganda Hippos in the AFCON U20 finals in Mauritania 2021 under Byekwaso’s stewardship.

The former Soltilo Bright Stars FC player is a graduate from musician, Eddy Kenzo’s academy, the Big Talent Academy.
