Uganda Premier League returnees Maroons FC have confirmed and unveiled goalkeeper Simon Tamale, making him their 11th signing in the ongoing transfer window.
The talented goal-minder penned down a two-year employment contract, after ending his stint with Soltilo Bright Stars, and, he cannot wait to get started with the Luzira-based side.
“I like everything about Maroons, this is a great club with a rich history and they play splendid entertaining football.” Tamale was quoted by Maroons media.
“I am clear I want to play not be on the bench but I know the situation here being stiff competition from already established Akol and Nalugoda.”
“It’s the first time in my career to be coached by two GoalKeeping coaches, I will be much interested to see how I can learn from them and them learning from me,” he added.
Known for his penalty-saving prowess, Tamale joins other new signings in David Ndihabwe, Umar Kyebatala, Fredrick Kigozi, Isaac Mpagi, Lawrence Tezikya, Brian Nkubi, Jacob Okao, Noel Nasasira, Samson Kigozi and Arafat Kakonge.
