Uganda Cranes striker Steven Desse Mukwala has joined Ghanaian giants Asante Kotoko Soccer Club.
Mukwala was on Tuesday pictured at an airport in Ghana, further pointing at the prospect of a deal awaiting completion.
On Tuesday, Mukwala bade farewell to URA FC, who have been his paymasters for two seasons.
The 23 year old joined the Tax Collectors in the 2020/21 season from Vipers SC, following a year at Maroons FC on loan.
“I take this opportunity to thank URA Football Club for the chance it gave me to be part of it’s project,” he said off his social media platforms, before confirming:
“Saying goodbye is always the hardest thing for me. But, I guess it’s time to move on.’
Reports have it that the forward has agreed to a two-year contract with the West African giants.
Mukwala is a proven goal-scorer who has managed double figures in each of the past three campaigns.
In the 2019/20 season, he notched 13 goals in 23 matches. He then added 14 in 24 the following campaign, before hitting 13 in 26 games the preceding season.
