The 2025 Bika Football Tournament opened with Ngabi Nyunga and Kasimba playing to a 1-1 draw.
In the game played at Muteesa II Wankulukuku Stadium, Derrick Yiga opened the scoring for Ngabi Nyunga, and a few minutes later, Erias Kiyemba equalized for Kasimba from the spot.
Ali Balunywa, the Sales and Distribution Manager of Airtel Uganda, praised the performance.
“For a long time, we have been partnering with Buganda, and the talent showcased today has been the best. It brings as much pleasure to us as sponsors that our sponsored products are growing positively.”
The Katikiro of Buganda, Charles Peter Mayiga, explained the expansion of talent growth.
“Here in Buganda, our aim is to help everyone grow their talent. This year, we have registered 39 clans. On top of that, we have introduced other sports like Buganda Wrestling and Omweso, as Kabaka directed us.”
The Bika Football Tournament shall resume on Wednesday, 7th May and run up to 7th June 2025, when the final is scheduled to be held.
