Days after Cesar Manzoki‘s departure, Uganda Premier League Champions, Vipers SC have completed the signing of URA FC forward Cromwell Rwothomio.
The development follows the Venoms’ sale of Manzoki to Chinese Super League outfit, Dalian Pro FC in a reported $400,000 deal. Cromwell comes in as his natural successor.
He has spent four successful seasons with the Taxmen, playing 77 league games and netting 35 times.
The forward previously featured for Pakwach Young Stars and Paidha Black Angels, which he left to join the Tax Collectors in 2018.
With the Venoms, he is expected to vie for forward positions with a number of established players in Yunus Sentamu and Abubaker Lawal.
Ibrahim Orit, who is a natural winger, has played and impressed centrally, in preseason, and is expected to provide more competition for the new signing.
Rwothomio joins eight other new signings at Kitende including Lawal, Alfred Macumu Mudekereza, Olivier Osomba and Isa Mubiru.
The others are Ashraf Mandela, Murushid Juuko, Marvin Joseph Youngman, and pacy winger Abdu Lumala.
Vipers are strengthening anticipating a long season that includes the CAF Champions League, UPL and the Uganda Cup.
