Uganda Cranes and KCCA FC playmaker Allan Okello has penned an emotional message to his club’s fans as he nears his second exit.

Okello re-joined the Lugogo outfit from Algerian side Paradou on a season-long loan deal, and following the end of the campaign, he’s set to head back.

“I’ve taken the last few days to reflect on the just concluded season. Our dream from the beginning was to win the double this season, and it’s only right to accept that it was a very disappointing season for us,” part of Okello’s statement read off his Twitter account.

“While we may not have achieved our ultimate goal, I wanted to take a moment to express my heartfelt gratitude.”

Okello, who is one of the fans’ beloved players, netted four goals and assisted eight times for the Kasasiro Boys this season in the league.

“A special thank you to our fans for welcoming me back to the club, an experience that I will always cherish and take with me forever. Despite the setbacks we faced, you never gave up, and always pushed us until the very end.”

“To my fellow teammates, there’s no failure in football, we always learn from even the harshest of experiences and I strongly believe you still have whatever it takes to achieve the dream at this great football club come next season.

“To everyone at the club, thank you for your unwavering support and belief. Together, we have created memories that will last a lifetime, and I am forever grateful to be a part of this great football club. More Than Just A Club.”

KCCA finished second on the Uganda Premier League table with 53 points, joint with champions Vipers SC.
