Uganda Premier League outfit URA FC have completed the signing of Arua Hill SC goalkeeper Rogers Omedwa.

The 27-year-old has penned down a two-year contract, and has become the second goalkeeper to be recruited by the Tax Collectors in the ongoing transfer window.

Omedwa made 22 appearances between 2021 to 2023 and kept 12 clean sheets for Arua Hill. He is known for his shot-stopping skills and his ability to command his area.

“I am glad to be here and ready to prove my worth,” Omedwa said upon signing.

“I thank the club management for the trust they put in me. URA FC is a big club and playing here comes with a lot of responsibility which I am aware of.”

“I know competition is a lot but I will work hard to ensure I help the club achieve its goals each time I get the chance to play,” he added.

Omedwa becomes the ninth signing overall for URA after teenagers Kisiriko Denis Luzige and Kisolo John Innocent.

The club has also signed Amis Bwangani and Godfrey Sekibengo as well as Aliro Moses Okabo, Ibrahim Wammanah, Denis Otim and Norman Namanya.

URA FC are currently in pre-season training, and will begin their Uganda Premier League campaign on September 4th.
