Forward George Senkaaba has parted ways with seven time Uganda Premier League champions Express Football Club.
The powerful striker ended his successful two-year spell with the ‘Mukwano Gwabangi’ that had him win the league and CECAFA Kagame Cup under Wasswa Bbosa in the 2020/21 campaign.
It is believed interest from moneybags URA FC deterred him from renewing his contract at Wankulukuku, eventually opting out. The Tax Collectors are reportedly nearing an agreement with him for a two-year deal.
He joined Express in 2020 from Kitara FC. Previously, he has also played for Saints FC, Busoga United and league record holders SC Villa.
Senkaaba joins a host of other stars to depart the Red Eagles including Erick Kambale who joined Sudanese side El-Merrikh, Murushid Juuko, and Godfrey Lwesibawa who are linked to Gadaffi Modern FC, among others.
It is also hugely reported skipper Enock Walusimbi will depart with a move to Europe high on the cards.
