Goalkeeper Simon Tamale, yet again put in a Man-of-the-Match performance as his side Maroons FC drew 0-0 with Gaddafi FC at Kakindu Stadium, on Tuesday.

Tamale, in the 51st minute exquisitely saved from John Byamukama, denying a curling shot destined for goal.

Gaddafi’s substitute Amos Kirya also had a glorious chance after pouncing on a poor clearance but was also denied by the on-rushing Tamale.

The hosts threatened again as Alex Kitata loaded a powerful shot from inside the box but Tamale, again, produced a wonder save, in the end rightly won the Man of the Match award.

Following the heroics, the former Soltilo Bright Stars custodian registered his eleventh clean sheet of the season.

It’s worth noting that the goalkeeper has been in excellent form since joining the Prison Warders. He has scooped multiple Player of the Match awards this season.

The stalemate leaves either side unchanged from their respective positions with Maroons staying fifth with 37 points while Gaddafi stay put in 11th.

Up next for Maroons is a home encounter against strugglers Onduparaka on May 16th whereas, on the same day, Gaddafi will be on the road against Blacks Power.
