Express FC made it three victories in a row in the Uganda Premier League after a comfortable 3-0 win over Busoga United on Tuesday, at the Muteesa II Stadium, Wankulukuku.
Denis Otim, Joseph Akandanwaho, and Enock Ssebaggala each netted one apiece for the Red Eagles on a memorable evening at home.
Otim opened the scoring in the 31st minute after a headed effort off Isma Kiwawulo‘s well-executed freekick.
The hosts then got the second in the 53rd minute through Akandanwaho’s screamer from distance.
In the 83rd minute, Ssebaggala headed in substitute Faisal Ssekyanzi‘s cross to sum up a satisfying home engagement.
The final goal came moments after Allan Kayiwa had missed the target in the 74th minute after a bicycle kick of a cross from Boban Zilintusa.
Express have now ascended to seventh on the 15-team log, with 28 points after 21 games, and will be guests at Soltilo Bright Stars FC in their next match, next Wednesday at Kavumba.
On the other hand, 13th-placed Busoga (22 points) will face nemesis BUL FC in their next encounter.
