Towering Leku added to URA FC’s striking force

Four-time Uganda Premier League champions URA FC have completed and unveiled the signing of former Arua Hill SC proven forward, Alfred Leku.

The marksman has penned down a two years employment contract with the Tax Collectors that will see him at the club until 2025.

He joins from Zambian side Zesco United following his release, having joined them at the start of this season, after the expiry of his contract with Arua Hill.

Besides Zesco and the striker has previously featured for Vipers SC, Onduparaka FC, Express FC, and Regional League outfit Proline FC.

Leku becomes the fifth signing joining forwards Bruno Junior Bunyaga, Joshua Letti Lubwama, and Joseph Ssemujju, plus attacking midfielder Nicholas Kabonge.

The Sam Timbe-coached side had a poor first round that saw them collect 14 points in as many matches and lie 11th on the 15-team log.

URA will travel away to Onduparaka at the Ababet Greenlight Stadium on 11th February in their first match of the second round.
