Vipers SC captain Halid Lwaliwa could be on his way out after Premier Soccer League side Kaizer Chiefs FC expressed interest, according to reports.
Lwaliwa is a long-serving player at Kitende and feels it is the right time to go for a professional stint, and reportedly will not stand in the way of a move to the AmaKhosi should they table a bid.
South African biggest sports magazine, Soccer Laduma reported that a move to South Africa is not far away with Amazulu FC interested as well.
It is also highly believed that Murushid Juuko’s arrival at Vipers is an indication of Lwaliwa’s departure as the former is seen as a direct replacement for the captain.
Joining the South African top-tier would make the 25 year old the fourth Ugandan there currently, after Dennis Masinde Onyango, Ismail Watenga and Salim Jamal Magoola.
