Kitara beat SC Villa 2-0 on Thursday to wrap up Matchday 26 of the Uganda Premier League with a result that keeps them firmly in the title race.
Patrick Henry Kaddu opened the scoring after 30 minutes, giving the Royals a deserved lead.
Just before halftime, Yunus Sibira added the second, finishing calmly to put Kitara in control.
SC Villa pushed after the break and created chances, but they couldn’t find a way through.
Kitara stayed organized, defended well, and saw out the game without trouble.
The win makes it back to back victories for Kitara and lifts them to second place on 54 points, five behind leaders Vipers SC.
SC Villa drop to fourth with 51 points after failing to take their chances.
Next, SC Villa host BUL FC on May 8, while Kitara return home to face NEC FC a day later, carrying momentum and belief.
