- UPDF FC Vs KCCA FC – Bombo Military Grounds | 4 pm
That question will hang heavily over Bombo on Wednesday afternoon when the Kasasiro Boys visit UPDF knowing the gap at the top could suddenly become much smaller.
Just a few weeks ago, Vipers appeared to be running away with the league.
But three consecutive draws have slowed their charge and handed hope to the chasing pack.
Tuesday’s goalless draw against Police at the Police Arena offered KCCA another lifeline as only side chasing the log leaders.

Now second on 55 points, KCCA can cut the lead to only three points with victory over UPDF and breathe fresh tension into the closing weeks of the season.
But Bombo is rarely a comfortable place to visit, UPDF may be struggling near the bottom of the table, but survival fights often create dangerous opponents.
The army side sit only four points above the relegation zone and know every match could define their season.
KCCA co-coach Jackson Magera understands exactly what awaits his side.

“Games against UPDF are always difficult and it will be the same,” Magera admitted ahead of the duel.
His concern is not misplaced. UPDF are desperate for points, while KCCA are chasing something bigger, the possibility of reviving a title challenge that had started fading away.
Yet Magera insists his players are not getting distracted by Vipers’ recent struggles.
“For now, our target is to win all our remaining matches and we don’t care about other peoples’ results,” he said.
KCCA head into the game with renewed confidence after their convincing 3-0 victory over Maroons, and they are boosted further by the return of Saidi Mayanja.
His comeback adds more firepower to an attack already led by league top scorer Ivan Ahimbisibwe.
History also favours the Lugogo side. KCCA have lost only once to UPDF in their last 17 league meetings, winning 12 of those matches.

Earlier this season, they brushed aside the army side 4-0 at Lugogo with Sammy Ssebaduka scoring twice while Joel Sserunjogi and Thiery Alpha Ssali also got on the scoresheet.
Still, statistics will matter little once the game begins in Bombo.
Elsewhere, SC Villa travel to face Mbarara City FC in Kamwenge, while NEC FC host Buhimba United Saints FC at Phillip Omondi Stadium in Lugogo.
